What the Delivery Team Won’t Do on Delivery Day
Understand the limits of delivery services, including what the delivery team cannot do on the day
Last updated: January 2026
Our delivery teams are experienced in delivering beds and mattresses safely, but there are some things they are not able to do. Understanding this in advance helps ensure delivery day goes smoothly and avoids any surprises.
This guide explains what the delivery team will not do when delivering your order, based on the delivery services offered by Land of Beds.
Move, assemble, or dismantle existing furniture:
The delivery team will not move, dismantle, or rearrange existing furniture that is not part of your order.
This includes:
- Beds you are keeping
- Wardrobes, chests, or other bedroom furniture
- Items blocking access routes
To avoid delays on the day, we recommend reviewing our property access and requirements before your scheduled delivery date.
Delivery where access is unsafe or unsuitable:
Delivery teams can only complete delivery where access is safe and suitable.
They will not deliver items if:
- Doorways, hallways, or staircases are too narrow
- Access routes are blocked or unsafe
- There is a risk of injury or damage
If delivery cannot be completed safely, it may need to be rearranged.

Carry out services that have not been booked:
The delivery team will only carry out services that have been added to your order.
They will not:
- Assemble beds unless assembly has been booked
- Remove old beds or mattresses unless removal has been added
- Install products where installation is not included
If a service is not shown on your order, it will not be completed on the day.
To make sure everything you need is included, you can review our how to book your delivery date article to check the services selected on your order.
Leave items unattended:
Beds and mattresses cannot be left unattended.
The delivery team will not:
- Leave items outside your property
- Leave items in a safe place
- Leave items with neighbours
Someone must be present to accept delivery.
Complete delivery if no one is available:
If no one is available to accept delivery and provide access, delivery cannot be completed.
In this situation, items will not be left at the property and delivery may need to be rearranged.
Guarantee specific delivery times:
The delivery team will not deliver at a guaranteed time of day.
Delivery takes place within an agreed delivery period rather than at a fixed time, and the team is not able to offer timed or priority delivery slots.
