How Will My Refund Be Paid?

Understand how refunds are processed, which payment method they’re returned to, and what to do if your card or bank details have changed.

Last Updated: January 2026

Refunds are issued using the original payment method used when placing your order with Land of Beds.

This article explains how refunds are paid, what happens with different payment methods, and what to expect if your original payment details have changed.

How Are Refunds Paid?

Refunds are issued back to the original payment method used to place the order.

This applies whether the order was placed:

  • Online
  • By phone
  • Using finance

Refunds cannot be issued to an alternative payment method on request.

Refunds to Debit or Credit Cards

If you paid by debit or credit card:

  • The refund is issued back to the same card
  • The refund is processed once it has been authorised

Once issued, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your card provider.

What If My Card Has Expired?

If the original payment card has expired:

  • The refund is still issued to the original card account
  • The card provider may redirect the refund automatically

If this is not possible, Land of Beds may contact you to confirm updated card details, such as a new expiry date, so the refund can be completed.

Refunds for Finance Orders

If your order was placed using finance:

  • The refund is processed through the finance provider
  • The finance agreement is adjusted accordingly

Refund handling for finance orders follows the finance provider’s process rather than a card refund process.

Can Refunds Be Issued in Any Other Way?

No.

Refunds cannot be:

  • Paid to a different card
  • Issued as cash
  • Transferred to another account

Refunds are always issued using the original payment method, where applicable.

Common Questions About Refund Payments

Can I choose how my refund is paid?

No. Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.

Will I receive a confirmation when my refund is issued?

Yes. Refund confirmation is provided once the refund has been processed.

Does issuing the refund mean I will receive the money immediately?

No. Payment provider processing times may apply after the refund is issued.

When Things Can Vary

Refund handling can vary depending on:

  • The payment method used
  • Whether the order was placed using finance
  • Payment provider processing times

If you are unsure how your refund will be issued, it is best to check before assuming there is an issue.
