How Long Will My Refund Take?
When the refund timeframe starts and what can affect it
Last Updated: January 2026
Once a return has been received and checked, refunds are processed as part of the standard returns process at Land of Beds.
This article explains how long refunds can take, when the refund timeframe starts, and what can affect how quickly a refund is completed.
How Long Do Refunds Usually Take?
Land of Beds aims to process refunds as quickly as possible.
Refunds can take up to 14 days to be completed after the returned item has been received and inspected at the warehouse.
When Does the Refund Timeframe Start?
The refund timeframe does not start when the item is sent back.
Refund processing begins only after:
- The item has arrived back at the warehouse
- The item has been inspected
- The refund has been authorised
Time spent in transit is not included in the refund timeframe.
What Can Affect How Long a Refund Takes?
Refund times can vary depending on:
- The type of item returned
- The condition of the item
- Inspection and authorisation requirements
- The payment method used
Once a refund has been processed, additional time may be required for the payment provider to complete the transaction.
Do Finance Refunds Take the Same Amount of Time?
Refunds for finance orders are handled through the finance provider rather than directly by Land of Beds.
Because of this, finance refunds may follow a different process and can take a different amount of time compared to card refunds.
What If It Has Been More Than 14 Days?
If it has been more than 14 days since your return was received and checked and you have not received your refund, it is best to contact customer care for an update.
They can confirm the status of your refund and whether any additional checks are required.
Common Questions About Refund Timing
Does return shipping time count towards the refund timeframe?
No. The refund timeframe starts only after the item has been received and inspected.
Will weekends or bank holidays affect refund timing?
Refund processing times can be affected by non-working days.
Can refunds be delayed?
Refunds may take longer if inspection or authorisation is delayed.
When Things Can Vary
Refund timeframes can vary depending on:
- The product being returned
- The payment method used
- Whether the return is standard or finance-based
If you are unsure whether your refund is within the expected timeframe, it is best to check before assuming there is an issue.
