How Does a Mattress Trial Exchange Work?

If your mattress comes with one of our mattress trial offers and it does not feel right after sleeping on it at home, you may be able to exchange it during the trial period. Trial lengths vary by brand and product, from 30 to 365 nights, so the first step is to check whether your mattress is part of the trial and how long your trial lasts.

How do mattress trial exchanges work?

Our mattress trial is a love it or exchange it offer on selected mattresses. If your mattress is eligible and you are still within the trial period, you can request one exchange. The replacement mattress must be chosen from the same brand.

Do all mattresses qualify for a trial exchange?

Not all mattresses are included. Eligible mattresses are marked with the mattress trial offer on the product page, and the number of trial nights depends on the specific product and brand. Bed frames, divan bases, headboards and bedding are not included in the mattress trial.

Is there anything I need to do during the trial?

Yes. To keep the mattress eligible for exchange, you should use a mattress protector throughout the trial. We may refuse an exchange if a protector has not been used or if the mattress is marked or soiled.

Are there any costs involved?

There is a collection and re-delivery fee from £75 for each exchanged mattress, and this may be higher for remote postcode areas. If you choose a higher-priced replacement mattress, you will need to pay the difference. If you choose a lower-priced mattress, the difference is refunded as Land of Beds vouchers.

When do I need to request the exchange?

You need to let us know at least 10 days before the trial ends. Exchanges are only possible during the trial period, so it is important not to leave it until the last minute. Proof of purchase is also required.

How do I request a mattress trial exchange?

• your full name

• your order number

• the mattress you purchased

• the replacement mattress you are interested in, if known

• a short explanation of your request
