When your order is delivered, it will be handled by trained delivery teams experienced in delivering beds and mattresses. Understanding what the delivery team will and won’t do can help set clear expectations on delivery day.
This guide explains what the delivery team is responsible for during delivery, based on the information available on the Land of Beds website.
Deliver Your Order to the Address Provided
The delivery team’s primary responsibility is to deliver the items included in your order to the delivery address you’ve provided.
They will deliver:
- The products listed on your order
- Any additional services you’ve selected, where applicable
Delivery is completed on the agreed delivery date and within the delivery period arranged.
Place Items Where Access Allows
Where access is safe and suitable, the delivery team will place your items in the agreed location.
This may include:
- Delivering items into your home
- Carrying items upstairs as part of room of choice delivery, where available
Delivery location depends on access conditions and the services booked with your order.
Carry Out Additional Services Booked
If you’ve added extra services to your order, such as assembly, installation, or removal, the delivery team will carry these out as part of the delivery.
Only services shown on your order will be completed. If a service hasn’t been booked, it won’t be carried out on the day.
Remove Old Items (If Booked)
If you’ve added mattress or bed removal and recycling to your order, the delivery team will remove the items listed on your order.
Removal is subject to:
- Items being dismantled and ready for collection
- Only the correct number of items being prepared

Complete Delivery Safely
The delivery team will assess whether delivery can be completed safely.
If access is restricted or conditions aren’t suitable, they may not be able to complete delivery as planned. In this situation, delivery may need to be rearranged.

Will the delivery team unpack my items?
Unpacking depends on the service booked. It isn’t included unless stated.
Can the delivery team move my old furniture?
No. Existing furniture that isn’t part of your order can’t be moved.
Will the delivery team assemble my bed automatically?
No. Assembly is only carried out if it’s been added to your order.
Can the delivery team decide not to complete delivery?
Yes. If delivery can’t be completed safely, the team may be unable to proceed.
