Healthbeds have been family bedmakers since 1893. Proper care will help ensure you achieve the maximum life expectancy from your mattress and divan base.

Caring for Your New Healthbeds Mattress
Following these simple steps will help extend the life of your mattress:
Turning & Rotating

Turn the mattress at least once a week during the first three to six months of use.

After this initial period, turn once a month thereafter.
This helps minimise natural depressions as cushioning layers settle.
If your mattress is labelled No-Turn, it should not be flipped but must be rotated through 180° regularly.
Use a Mattress Protector
Always use a suitable mattress protector or underblanket.
This helps prevent dyes used in some mattresses reacting with body moisture or liquids and transferring onto bed linen.
Avoid Edge Strain
Avoid persistent sitting on the edge of the bed. This places strain on the rod edge and perimeter springs.
Cleaning Guidance

Never use a vacuum cleaner on your mattress.

Use a soft brush regularly instead.

Check that legs or castors, fixing bolts and headboard screws remain secure.
Do Not Roll or Fold
Never roll or fold your mattress when moving or storing. Healthbeds mattresses contain straight lengths of wire within the spring unit which may permanently bend if folded.
Use a Suitable Base
Never use a mattress on a base for which it was not designed.
Using an unsuitable base may severely shorten the life of the mattress and invalidate the warranty.

Storage Divan Guidance
If your Healthbeds bed includes storage drawers:

Drawers are designed primarily for bed linen, clothing and lightweight items.

Do not overload storage compartments.

Excessive weight can cause distortion or damage.

Overfilling may restrict movement or cause drawers to jam.
Healthbeds Consumer Guarantee
12 Month Guarantee
Healthbeds provide a 12 month statutory guarantee from the date of purchase.
If any part of the product becomes defective within one year due to faulty materials or workmanship, the manufacturer will repair or replace the product free of charge.
5 Year Manufacturer’s Warranty
In addition to the 12 month guarantee, Healthbeds provide a 5 year limited warranty effective from the date of purchase.
If a manufacturing defect develops after the first year, repair or replacement charges are applied on a sliding scale according to age.
Warranty Contribution Scale

0–1 years: Free of charge

1–2 years: 20% contribution

2–3 years: 40% contribution

3–4 years: 60% contribution

4–5 years: 80% contribution
The older the item, the greater the contribution required.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:

Misuse of the product

Allowing the mattress to become soiled or unsanitary

Excessive wear and tear

Using the mattress with an unsuitable base

Normal settlement of fillings

Subjective comfort preference
Body impressions are normal in handmade mattresses and do not constitute a manufacturing fault.
If only one part of a divan set is repaired or replaced, the manufacturer does not guarantee matching fabric. This warranty applies within the United Kingdom only and does not affect your statutory rights.
How to Make a Claim
If a fault arises:

Retain your guarantee card and proof of purchase.

Contact the retailer from whom the bed was purchased.
